About TCR American Custom Canvas
Not many canvas specialists carry a Master Upholsterer Certification. TCR founder Connie Robarge is one of the few. Upon graduation from the Atlantic Vocational School in Margate with a two-year upholstery certification, Robarge entered the automotive upholstery field, gaining valuable experience in detailed upholstery installation before branching out into the marine canvas business. For the next 15 years she became a sought-after resource for South Florida canvas shops, known for her precision fitting and close attention to detail.
In 2000, Connie saw an opportunity to capitalize on the growing Treasure Coast and Palm Beach marine markets. She opened a canvas shop in Port St. Lucie and quickly gained a reputation as one of the region's best. Over the next few years, she established strong relationships with many of the local boat yards, American Custom Yachts (ACY) being one of them. In 2009, Robarge teamed up with ACY to create TCR American Custom Canvas, bringing 20 years of expert canvas and upholstery experience to ACY customers.
Today, TCR operates out of a 2,000 square foot facility located adjacent to ACY. TCR works closely with American Custom Yachts and affiliated companies Bausch-American Towers and IMS American Marine Electronics to coordinate canvas installations with tower and electronics projects and vessel upgrades.
